About CSSmith

CSSmith is a focused toolkit for the two jobs frontend developers and designers repeat all day: writing CSS by hand and shipping QR codes. Twenty-seven tools, no accounts, no uploads.

Toolkit one — CSS & design

Gradient, box-shadow, border-radius, animation, transition and text-shadow generators with live preview and copy-ready output; flexbox and grid builders that render what you configure; colour conversion, WCAG contrast checking and palette generation; SVG pattern synthesis, an SVG optimiser, and line-height / type-scale calculators.

Toolkit two — QR & barcode

QR codes for URLs and plain text, vCard contacts, WiFi networks, SMS and email, plus custom colour and centre-logo variants, an image decoder, EAN-13 / UPC-A / Code 128 barcodes and batch generation for up to 40 codes at once.

Standards we follow

Colour maths uses sRGB relative luminance exactly as WCAG 2.1 defines it, so contrast verdicts match the spec. QR generation follows ISO/IEC 18004 error-correction levels; barcodes use the published EAN/UPC check-digit algorithm. Where a value is an approximation we say so on the page.

Privacy by architecture

There is no backend. Text you encode, images you decode and colours you pick never leave your device. See the Privacy Policy for the cookie and advertising details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is CSSmith free?

Do the QR codes expire?
