Batch generation without a server
Paste a list — product URLs, asset tags, table numbers — and the browser renders one code per line. Nothing is uploaded, so you can batch internal or pre-launch URLs without exposing them to a third party.
Planning a print run
- Number your lines so you can match codes to items
- Use level Q or H if labels will be handled or scuffed
- Keep payloads similar in length so codes look consistent
- Download all, then lay them out in your design tool
The download behaviour
Browsers block multiple simultaneous downloads, so the tool staggers them roughly 180ms apart. Allow 'multiple downloads' if your browser prompts, or download in smaller batches.
When to use a real bulk service
If you need tens of thousands of unique codes with tracking, sequencing or variable data printing, a server-side generator with a database is the right tool. This page is for tens — signage, small catalogues, internal assets.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many codes can I generate?
Up to 40 per batch. Run it again for another 40.
What format are the downloads?
SVG — vector, print-ready and editable. Convert to PNG at your target size if needed.
Can I include tracking parameters?
Yes, add them per line. They increase density, so consider shortening long URLs.
Privacy & Your Data
CSSmith runs entirely in your browser. Whatever you type, paste or upload is processed on your own device and never sent to a server — there is no backend to store it.
