Terms of Use
Last updated: October 28, 2026
By using CSSmith you agree to these terms.
No warranty
The tools are provided "as is". We implement published standards carefully, but you are responsible for testing generated code before shipping it to production.
Barcodes and compliance
Generating an EAN or UPC barcode does not grant you a manufacturer prefix. Retail barcodes must use a GS1-issued company prefix; CSSmith only performs the arithmetic and rendering.
Acceptable use
Use the tools freely, including commercially. Do not resell the site as a service, scrape it at volume, or use the QR generator for phishing, malware distribution or any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
Generated output (CSS, SVG, QR and barcode images) belongs to you. The CSSmith name, design and original explanatory content remain ours.
Availability
The site is provided free of charge and without an uptime guarantee. Tools may change or be retired as browser APIs evolve — the gap property for flexbox and prefers-reduced-motion are examples of features that were once unsupported and are now baseline.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the toolset evolves. The last-updated date above always reflects the current version; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

Frequently Asked Questions
